No.1355 Abkai fulingga han jiha
Manchu legend read from left to right and from top to bottom:"The Imperial Coin of the
Heavenly Mandate", being a counterpart of the Chinese legend above. The Manchu writing
is of the old style, before the improvement made by the dots and rings introduced by
Tai Hai, in 1627.
I received message about that coin from
Mr.Y.K.Leung:
It is a coin of Qing Dynasty, called "Tian Ming Han Qian".
Before the Qing Dynasty rulers conquered south of the Great wall areas, in
the 44th year of the Wan Li reign of Emperor Shen Zong of Ming Dynasty
(A.D.1616), Nurhachi of Manchu nationality proclaimed himself emperor and
used the imperial title Tian Ming. He minted the Tian Ming Han Qian with
the Manchu inscription.
