Shown 2 sycee both having a circular face and a base in somewhat
triangle were cast in Jiangsi Province of southern China during late
Ching
Dynasty. Because of their faces always looked clean, shinning and without
any wrinkles or waves, they were entitled Jing Mien Yin by the people,
which means Mirror-Face Silver.
Most Mirror-Faces were cast in 10 taels or lesser. Shown 2 sycee are the
pieces in 1 and 2 taels, should have been used in daily trades in
Jiangsi.
Mirror Face and Square were the two local sycee patterns in
Jiangsi
Province.
