Kucha, Rashidin coin
with Uyghur inscription

Rashidin was the leader of the peasants uprising in Kucha (Xinkiang) against Qing government in 1864. Before his fall in 1867 Rashidin issued red cash coins with Uyghur inscriptions. The type of coins was copied from red cash issues of the Kucha mint.

Shown item is unusual by it yellow metal, style and quality of inscription (below is undoubtly original red copper cash coin).
It is modern imitation.

Red copper coin shown left is the genuine example of the Rashidin coinage.
