Another mark dated in Chinese:
(Ding Si), a year of the Ten Celestial Stems and the Twelve Terrestrial
Branches (Tien Gan Di Ghi)
This is an one-Baht Thai Bullet Silver as of Bankok Dynasty. It weighed
about 16 grams, has two hammer marks, one as the ruler's mark, and the other
mark is unusual. It dated with year in Chinese:
.
Year of hereof, most possibly mean 1857 AD, i.e. the
7th year of
King Rama IV. According to some historical reports, many Thai silver at the
time were shipped to and used in Yunnan, China, however no source has
further indicated that Thai Bullet Silver was included. This Bullet Silver
dated in Chinese, though, still can not be considered as designed for
Chinese markets, nor had been used in China. But it should be doubtless if
this Bullet Silver had certain relation with Chinese resided in Thailand at
that time.
