After AH1294 similar silver pieces in 5 candareens or 1 mace were also minted in Xinkiang, especially in Kashgar, Aksu… the 8 cities where had been ruled by Yakub, but Chinese and Manchurian legends were constantly added on, and more often you can see a square hole without being punched through from coin’s face, which was a metaphor for Chinese sovereignty.
