- In 1916 when Khai Dinh was on the throne, the Piastre and the Cent were
circulated in Indochina for 40 years already. Cash coin minted by the Court
had a minor role in the money system and was used as small change. Emperor
Khai Dinh never minted copper coin with more than 24 mm in diameter.
